THT plug-in tabs (Through-Hole Technology) are electromechanical components that are commonly used in PCB assembly. They are typically rectangular in shape and come in straight or angled variations. The terminals have one or more pins that are inserted through a hole in the PCB and soldered. The plug area can be designed according to DIN standards or customized based on customer requirements. The terminals are available in different sizes or widths. THT plug-in tabs are generally more robust than SMD (Surface Mount Device) variants and are particularly used in areas where extreme environmental conditions, vibrations, or high currents may occur. These components are also available in magazine form to automate the component assembly process.
